Hand-painted wooden box
Size: 7"w x 7"l x 5"h
Each box style has been created for The Red Thread (TRT) and is adorned with designs and patterns reflecting the child advocacy work of TRT. Lynn states "The hands are symbols of help and comfort; the flowers symbolize new life; the hearts are for the love shown to others; and the dove is a symbol of hope. Finally, the red spools represent The Red Thread itself. The box serves as a reminder to the recipient of the good work done by The Red Thread and what it means to the children who receive it." These unique treasures can only be found on the TRT website and in Lynn's studio.
About the artist
Working from her home studio in Lancaster PA, Lynn creates one-of-a-kind works of art on furniture, wooden bowls and boxes. Her pieces are a beautiful blend of form and function, helping her to coin the term "ARTiture" for her line of unique hand-painted furniture. Her dynamic combinations of color, designs and patterns enable each piece to tell its own story. The boxes that Lynn has designed for TRT symbolize the dedicated work of the organization itself. She has also participated in TRT's 2006 silent auction by creating a beautifully painted child-sized chair.
